It’s SO good. No ability to resist, who cares what that suggests.
Looking at pieces for new place, jotting ideas. Grilled cheese recipes, believe it or not. Salad ideas and a little menu for myself. Never done that before. Newness, finally…. Coffee always in home. Not sure I even have an interest in going back to a Peet’s or Starbucks. Couldn’t believe it’d been since the beginning of the month what I last went. Didn’t cross my mind I guess. Sure I’ll get something at Peet’s on Sunday as I always do on my Caddis TR Sundays. So…. Simplicity, consolidation and singularization.
Quiet everywhere. In the AE story, personal email and one other place… NOTHING. Good, embracing the lack of words and exchanges, attitudes and grievances.
Write more poems, I keep telling myself. Really like the one I wrote the other night here in the Nook with the wine we had open. Read more as well. The Sedaris book which I’ve barely touched but just had to buy, Kerouac’s Road, Plath’s journal entries, Lawson… everything. One of my aims in this new house, a visible emphasis on WORDS – books, reading, notes, expression, communication, REAL connectivity.
