While shopping at Oliver’s yesterday saw a book for kids that was titled something like ‘What Do You Do With An Ida?’ Yes, that was the cat title, just looked. It stopped me, had me think about what I do with each idea, EACH OF THEM.
Listing all ideas for day, but this one I had last night about turning AE life and the story of being an AE into something else. Texted it to Tasha last night in the moment, as a hashtag following thanking her for bringing me to Sonic and that big things lie ahead. Written, idea 1 for day.
8:11am. Need to move a little money, and by little I mean very little. A $20 bill I forgot about. Didn’t wake at 5:30 as I’d hope to workout at new gym, alarm going off an me saying NO with quiet rain falling and urging only more sleep. Calendaring workout for 11am. Xmas gift mission later, dinner…. Day is full. Who knows what the $20 could do.
No matter what occurs or what’s sent to me today, I’ll be smiling, finding humor. In EVERYTHING. And I will continue to be About EVERYTHING… sharing my few prized truths. Writing, what’s written, the story… sharing with the kids and writing more about them and how they are so fascinated sometimes in the moment with the most seemingly simple components.
Another…. ‘Why to Gratitude’. So many are pushing gratitude, saying you should have a journal of such, and practice and speak it more. I agree. But, I want to know the WHY to it.. how do you translate the necessity and value to gratitude. I think it’s more than being grateful and acknowledge that you’re thankful or “blessed” or whatever. Couple emails to send first, then looking for more conversation and events for 2022. Prius out till at least the 23rd, possibly longer. It’s funny, I have to find it funny, and should be appreciate to the Prius for forcing me to see how ridiculous it is. On a vast expanse of considerations.
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”, Aristotle. Idea then to find my favorite quotes and then react, just as my students do reading. How do you measure self-understanding and “awareness”? Part of practice is loving where you are and what you’re doing… no matter the hue of condition. Concerning knowledge, that has to be applied to where you are as well as and ESPECIALLY the outside. The latest project of AEbeTheREAD begs such a mind and such thinking shape.
Forgot about the espresso. Have to laugh. Found a pic of my grandmother last night. Herr last real sentence or order to me, “It’s YOUR life. You have YOUR choice.” Amazed at timing sometimes, how EVERYTHING comes together. Sitting here unable to write, just awestruck and dumbfounds, more educated than I’ve felt in over 15 years.
