If you’re to consider wine a poetic entity, then you need know poetry,

have some familiarity with its body and composition.  Poetry’s meant to elevate the soul, as I believe Poe hoped.  And, poetry should defy.  Poems never, if ever, follow convention.  But what about form, you might say.  Form is not the same as convention.  There are new forms paginated and envisaged everyday.

Wine is poetry, but only poetic if the one sipping understands poetry— what poetry doesn’t do, what it does, the music in a verse and how a storm of interpretation should follow.

The poetic is movement, a beat…. If wine is that, then it’s what wine’s intended to speak, sing, be, teach.
