I was actually just journaling for the day and was writing about this exact subject, when your new post hit my mailbox. Today I learned with my kids how essential it is for me to accomplish my own dreams and goals, to be the best me I can be, so that they see a happy adult/parent, loving life, and accomplishing great things. I think that caption sums it up nicely, “stop obsessing over being a parent.” I think that’s huge. Watching young children can get us in this alerted, reactive state, which isn’t necessarily healthy or conducive to accomplishing those big dreams, and frankly it’s sort of drag. Anyway, enjoying continuing to read your blog here. Hope all your efforts are productive.

I learned that you can’t plan for everything, and that schedules with my child are really only more like guidelines…. That she throws out the window…. Daily!
