Great interpretation of, at times, my favorite Bordeaux varietal. Nice floral fruit on nose, tumbling into a vibrant mid-palate. Consuming personality to this wine. At the winery, you can actually pour this into bottle yourself, put a cork in it, literally. Probably getting a picture with the eternally animated Kaz himself. Hard to believe this is a 2010, as it doesn’t have that youthful sting that many young wines will carry. And after successive sips, it comes to life with an almost entertaining confidence to its structure. It reminds me of a blackberry tart, or some dessert dish with a berry, or wild berry, foundation. Gorgeous, honestly. From nose to finish.
