He didn’t want to go in. But he had to. His first day. Wouldn’t look good if he didn’t show for his first day. He walked in, everyone saying ‘hi’ and the expected ‘nice to meet you’. But it wasn’t what he wanted. It’s what he needed. A job. He was in the position again. He had to be responsible.
“Where’s the restroom, again?” he asked.
“Down the hall, past Room 11, on the left,” the head said.
He walked past room 11. Back to his car.
