Back from taking Henry to his usual Saturday engagement, and I check in with the big kids, hanging their respective quarters. Emma telling me what she’s watching. Can’t remember the name, but she told me “They make baseball content.” Her answer was so direct and simple, contained, I don’t know why it got to me. I was envious of her devotion, passion.
So I came downstairs and instantly made some connections, drew notes in journal… mental health, happiness, health….. weights at my right brought up from the little gym area the Nurse and I cordoned in the garage.
That is my passion.
Not wine, not even literature or as it used to be… but living HEALTHY. Which, reading is a part of I know.
My cause – mental health.. my podium if you would. My topic… and writing your way there.
All from Emma’s sweet little conversation upstairs. I’ve said for years that my kids are my best professors, the best teachers I’ve ever had. This morning the case is closed, they will forever be.
